Norgespris for Cabins

Cabin owners can sign up for Norgespris with a cap of 1,000 kWh per month. The price is 40 øre/kWh excl. VAT (50 øre incl. VAT for most areas). Consumption above the cap is charged at regular spot price.

For seasonal use with low winter consumption, Norgespris can be very beneficial. With average consumption of 500–800 kWh/month, you'll stay well under the cap.

Grid Fee for Cabins

Cabins often have higher grid fees per kWh than regular households. This is because the grid operator must maintain infrastructure to properties with lower and more uneven consumption. Capacity-based grid fees can be unfavorable for cabins with high peak loads on arrival.

Best Deals for Cabins

For cabins, spot price contracts without binding periods are recommended. Seasonal use makes fixed-price contracts unfavorable. Look for providers with low monthly fees.
